Downlinking Arabic content from satellite in Europe, transcoding and distributing via CDN worldwide.
THE SOLUTION:
Setplex has helped USNile with their OTT platform from A through Z. Setplex guided USNile throughout the process of implementing their first OTT solution, which included locating specific data-centers that are strategically located in zones where these satellites are located. USNile uses Setrix as their transcoding solution.
Besides offering the essentials of OTT such as LiveTV and VOD, USNile also offers many other features, such as Catchup, where their users are able to rewind LIVE TV as well as go back up to 7 days. Other unique features include Time Shifted TV, where Setplex helped USNile time shift the channels with a 7 hour difference to match the Western time zones.
USnile also utilizes the Setplex CDN which is powered primarily by Akamai as well as LImelight to distribute its content worldwide.
