Artmotion is the largest internet service provider and leader in the telecommunications market in Kosovo.
Artmotion was established in 2003 and since 2008 has started providing Internet services in Kosovo, and since 2011 also offers cable television services.
Artmotion has one of the most advanced networks in Kosovo, and offers internet services through fiber optic, coaxial network and microwave throughout the territory of Kosovo. It is one of the 4 licensed operators for international KOS-IX nodes. Artmotion is also licensed by RAEPC and IMC to provide Internet, Cable and IPTV services.
In 2018 Artmotion started operating its own television platform and so far has 14 channels with the most attractive content on the market. Artmotion cooperates with reputable companies such as NBCuniversal, Sony, Paramount, ViaCom, and Warner Bros.

THE CHALLENGE:
Installing a complete end to end solution to support both Multicast customers and also offer OTT.
To offer a TV experience that is modern and unique throughout all devices, including IPTV, traditional Multicast, and OTT with fully rich interactive features.
THE SOLUTION:
Artmotion took advantage of the Setplex platform to offer Multicast and Unicast within the same system. Being that Artmotion is a triple play service and a fiber to the home ISP, Setplex implemented the complete solution to support multicast users via set top boxes as well as unicast, and OTT.
It was extremely important for Artmotion to provide the same user experience as well as the same features regardless of the device, including Catch-up TV/DVR, LiveTV, VOD and more.
Artmotion uses Setrix (a Setplex product) to transcode over 140 channels, with a majority in HD as well as Setrix as edge servers.
Setplex has also developed applications for all Apps stores such as SmartTVs, STBs, iOS, Android, PC/MAC/Linux as well as Web.
Setplex Solution & Accomplishments:
- Installed and launched a complete end to end IPTV/OTT solution through a local network and also public OTT.
- Offering hardware and software for all the IPTV/OTT requirements. Including middleware, transcoders, streamers to achieve LIVE TV, VOD and interactive services such as Catch-up.
- Providing CDN to support mobile devices outside of Artmotion network.
- Authoring and developing Apps for all major devices, SmartTVs, STBs, iOS, Android, PC/MAC/Linux.
