The award was presented at the CSI award ceremony at Hotel Okura, Amsterdam, during IBC 2026.
The CSI Award recognizes UVOtv as the first scaled, free, ad-supported live television platform purpose-built for North America’s diaspora communities — a market of more than 70 million viewers across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Eastern Europe that, until now, had no centralized, legal way to watch live TV from home. Running at 98% accuracy with sub-500ms inference and less than 10% additional compute overhead, the pipeline enables real-time, broadcast-quality server-side ad insertion at a scale previously considered commercially impractical, transforming previously unusable international ad inventory into a sustainable, free-to-view model for viewers.
Powered by Setplex’s Zapflex platform, UVOtv is available across mobile, connected TV, and web platforms, and continues to expand its channel library through new broadcaster partnerships and phased regional rollouts.
